Mitigating Underwater Construction Noise

Founded in January 2021 in Vannes, Greenov-ites aims to contribute to the development of new technologies to protect the marine environment. Its first project focuses on a noise mitigation system designed to reduce the acoustic impact of maritime works on marine ecosystems.

« Vibrations generated by noise travel even faster and farther in water than in air, » explains Damien Demoor, President and co-founder of the company alongside Céline Drouet and Damien Marigliano.

Through this approach, the start-up seeks to lessen the impact on biodiversity from operations such as pile driving, dredging, and rock removal.
